  1. Hi Julie,
You maybe interested to know that I have been researching a Private Thomas Hawkins who was shot at dawn in November 1917 in Ypres. He enlisted in the 7th Queens (Royal West Surrey's) in Septemeber 1914 aged 16. Unfortunately the Commonwealth War Graves Commission do not list his next of kin, but what we do know is that the 7th was raised in Guildford Through a bit of detective work the only Thomas Hawkins who fits the age was the 2nd son of George and Ellen Hawkins of Wanborough Farm Cottage. I wanted to know if you have any information that might help me in my search for Thomas and his next of kin.
    Many thanks
    Charlie
